Terms of use and sale
The plain rules for using this site and buying our books.
Who we are
Kin & Keep is operated by Kin & Keep LLC, a Missouri limited liability company ("Kin & Keep," "we," "us"). Based in Saint Peters, Missouri. By using this site or buying from us, you agree to these terms.
What our products are, and aren't
Kin & Keep organizers are for recording information. They are not legal documents and do not replace a will, trust or power of attorney, or advice from an attorney, tax professional, financial professional or insurance professional.
Nothing in our books or on this site is legal, tax, investment or insurance advice. Laws differ by state. For decisions about your estate, talk with a licensed professional in your state.
Our books do not contain legal forms, do not recommend any product, and do not refer you to any particular professional. You decide what to write in them and who to share them with.
Orders and prices
Prices are in US dollars and shown before any applicable tax. We may change prices at any time, but not for an order you've already placed. If we list a price in error, we'll contact you before charging and you may cancel. Payments are processed by Stripe.
Personalized covers
You're responsible for the spelling of the name you choose for a cover. Names may be up to 24 characters using letters, spaces, hyphens, apostrophes, periods and the ampersand. We may decline a name that is offensive or that uses someone else's trademark, and we'll refund that item if we do.
Digital products
When you buy a fillable PDF, you get a personal license to use it for your own household: to download it, fill it in, save copies and print it. Please don't resell it, share it publicly, or redistribute it. Firms that want to share our PDFs with clients can buy a Firm Digital License, which comes with its own written terms.
Printed products and shipping
Printed books are made to order. Shipping, replacements and returns are covered on our Shipping & returns page, which is part of these terms.
Gift codes
Gift codes issued through the Pro Edition are redeemable once for the item described, have no cash value, and may carry an expiration date set by the firm that purchased them.
Our content
The text, page designs, covers, logos and other content of our books and this site belong to Kin & Keep and are protected by copyright and trademark law. What you write in your own copy belongs to you.
Using this site
Please don't misuse the site: no attempts to break in, overload it, scrape it at scale, or use it to send spam.
Disclaimer of warranties
Apart from the replacement and refund promises on our Shipping & returns page, our products and this site are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We don't promise that any organizer will be complete for your situation or that it will produce any particular outcome.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Kin & Keep is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from our products or this site, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the product involved.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Missouri.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version posted here, with its effective date, applies to orders placed while it's posted.
