What we make
Family files: fill-in organizers that record where everything is and who to call.
When someone lands in the hospital or dies, the people closest to them often spend months looking for things. Which bank? Was there life insurance through work? Where is the deed? Who has the key to the storage unit? One afternoon with a Family File saves them that search.
Each book comes as a fillable PDF or as a printed, coil-bound book with your family's name on the cover, printed to order. A co-branded Pro Edition lets advisors, attorneys, funeral homes and others give the books to the families they serve.
What we believe
Facts, not forms
Our books record what exists, where it's kept and who to call. They contain no legal forms and give no legal, tax, investment or insurance advice. Your attorney drafts the will; your Family File says where the original is.
Your file is yours
We never see what you write. Your file lives on your paper or your own device. When you order, we collect only your name, email, shipping address and the name for the cover, plus a phone number for printed books because the carrier requires one.
Nothing worth stealing
A file your family can find is a file someone else could find too. So ours never ask for full account numbers, Social Security numbers or passwords. Only where things are kept, and the last four digits.
Readable for every age
Big type, high contrast, plenty of room to write. Our body text uses Atkinson Hyperlegible, a typeface designed for readers with low vision.
A note from the founder
I started Kin & Keep to help families stay organized through the moments that matter most: planning an estate, caring for a parent, and the transitions that come after a loss.
Too often, the hardest part of those moments isn't the paperwork itself. It's not knowing where anything is: which accounts exist, who to call, where the policy or the deed is kept. Families end up searching drawers and inboxes at the very time they should be leaning on each other.
Kin & Keep is my answer to that. Our files put the essentials in one place, in plain language, so the people you love have a clear map instead of a mess. Whether you're filling one out for your own family or giving them to the clients you serve, the goal is the same: less stress today, and far less for the family later.
