We never see what you write. Your file lives on your paper or your own device.
Who we are
Kin & Keep is operated by Kin & Keep LLC, a Missouri limited liability company. Based in Saint Peters, Missouri. You can reach us at hello@kinandkeepco.com.
The short version
- We never see what you write in a Kin & Keep book or PDF. The PDF is a file on your device, and the book is a book.
- This website never asks for your family's details.
- Checkout collects only your name, email, shipping address and the name for the cover. For printed books it also asks for a phone number, because our printer requires one for shipping.
- We don't sell your personal information.
What we collect
When you order
Your name, email address, shipping address and phone number (for printed books), the name for the cover, and, if you send a gift, the recipient's name and your note. We also keep what you bought and a short note about how you found us (see "In your browser" below). You enter payment details on Stripe's secure checkout page. We never see or store your full card number.
When you use a form
When you sign up for the One-Pager, join a waitlist, request a Pro quote or redeem a gift code, we receive what you type into that form, such as your email address, your name, your firm, or the shipping address for a redeemed book.
In your browser
This site keeps a few small notes in your browser's local storage: your cart, your light or dark theme choice, and, for 30 days, how you found us (for example the website or ad that sent you, which can include campaign tags and ad click IDs). That note stays in your browser until you check out or send a form, when it goes along with your order or message. This site does not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers.
Technical data
Our hosting provider processes basic technical information, like IP addresses and browser types, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
How we use it
- To take payment, print and ship your order, and give you your downloads (the phone number is used only for delivery)
- To answer your questions and send order updates
- To send the One-Pager and occasional emails if you signed up (you can unsubscribe anytime)
- To understand, in general, which websites and ads bring people to us
Who we share it with
We share information only with the companies that help us run the shop, and only what they need:
- Stripe processes payments.
- Lulu prints and ships books, and receives the shipping name, address and phone number, the cover name and any gift note. Lulu requires a phone number on every shipment so the carrier can reach the recipient about delivery.
- Cloudflare hosts the website and stores the PDF files.
- FormSubmit delivers the website's forms to our inbox.
- Resend sends order emails.
We may also share information if the law requires it. We don't sell personal information, and we don't share it for cross-site advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep order records as long as we need them for accounting and taxes. We keep form messages as long as we need them to respond, and email signups until you unsubscribe.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from our emails at any time with the link in any email, or by writing to us.
- Ask us to show you, correct or delete the information we hold about you by emailing hello@kinandkeepco.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state's law.
- Clear the notes this site keeps in your browser with your browser's settings.
Security
Checkout runs on Stripe's secure pages. PDF downloads are checked against a paid order before they're delivered. No system is perfectly secure, which is one more reason our books never ask for full account numbers or passwords.
Children
This site isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date.
